The twilight zone as we know it continues, and we have resolved to be productive. This week we went through our closets, resulting in this bizarre fashion show;
attempted to learn to ride bikes without training wheels (fail);and spent lots of time reading and picnicking and eating peanut butter sandwiches.
Also, "working out" and terrorizing the driveway. (If I ever get my hands on whoever invented roller skates...)
Luckily Ford is more patient than I.
We're being responsible, but love that the neighborhood kids are out (albeit with a wide berth) and dying that Ford got to race plasma cars with the teenaged neighbor girls. Who let him win. Just look at that face.
The axe throwing (and backyard chilling) continues,
as does the fishing, since the lakes are mostly still open and it's easy to distance in a boat.
And our one rule-bend continues to be our extended family, the Ryans, and not just because our pool remains closed but theirs is open for business.
(We are also enjoying laps around the neighborhood shirtless and late night baseball.)
Mostly we're home, though, and grateful that Disney Plus has Bedknobs and Broomsticks,
and NC weather has us swinging
and throwing axes (see bottom right for date night fun).
We are hopeful that, in the midst of all the madness, everybody is able to eat Cadbury eggs and get ready to Easter,
enjoy spring sports (however solitary) and evening drives around the block,
and sip wine in hilarious glasses while dyeing Easter eggs terrible colors.
There are really no words for these strange times, just as there are no words for this photo.
Cheers!
